In 2016, Gautheron had lost so much fruit from frost (fun fact - Frissons means 'Frozen' in French) that they had to source their fruit from outside their vineyard. Such was the success of the first release that they did it again in 2017 with this wine, Cyril Gautheron Frissons Bourgogne Chardonnay. New world in style but still with the hallmark of a great old world French wine, it has clean, fresh fruit with a nuance of complexity and richness.
