Cirillo “The Vincent” Grenache 2019, Barossa Valley
What a discovery when we tasted this Barossa Grenache from 115 year old bush vines. Grenache isn’t to be missed if you like your Pinot Noirs.
Couple of stand out things is age and bush vine. Bush vines are low to the ground, with gnarled branches, meaning small fruit with intense flavours, age for vines is the same as people, elegance, wisdom and refinement - puts everything in the right place.
“The Vincent” is from the Cirillo family, single estate, the elegance of the pepper and spice with subtle dark berries is pure joy. A designer wine that doesn’t need a big logo for pedigree.
